Dear Mom

Since Sunday is Mother's Day I thought I would do a rendition of Friday's Letters on Thursday called "Dear Mom."

(f.y.i. my mom went back to school when I was in high school and is now an outpatient admissions coordinator by day and a drug and alcohol social worker by night...all while battling breast cancer and raising a husband, 5 kids and 2 dogs! She's pretty amazing!)

The Whole Gang at my Mom's 50th Birthday Party

Dear Mom I am amazed everyday about how many things you can accomplish. You never cease to amaze me!

Dear Mom you are the hardest working person I know! I do not know how you managed to go back to school for 4 years and then get a full-time job, have your personal practice at night after your full-time job, get many certifications along the way, and raise all us kids!

Dear Mom I love staying up late on Monday nights and sitting on your bed watching "Bethany Ever After" with you!

Dear Mom I love that you got a cleaning lady now, but expect us all to clean up the night before she comes! haha!

Dear Mom You are such a strong woman and I am so glad that you have been cancer free for almost 3 years! You are one person that I thought would never see cancer, but you could hardly tell that you even had it! You went to your radiation in between classes and you were a champ!

Dear Mom my confession is that I fear I will also have breast cancer when I am older, but I know I will be able to fight it if I do! You taught me how to fight, love, listen, care, and raise a household. I thank you for teaching me so many things!

Dear Mom I love that you buy tons of clothes from Kohls and don't try one thing on! Then, you come home and have a fashion show with me and Chelsea where we tell you what looks good and what you should return!

Dear Mom I love that you don't like getting gas and you would rather be stuck on the side of the road and call triple A then get some!

Dear Mom I love that you have raised 5 wonderful children and I love when we all can get together! Those times are slim now so when we are together I cherish every moment!

Dear Mom I love that you LOVE your husband (my dad) as much as you did 30 years ago. You guys are the people who showed me how to balance a relationship and what to look for in a husband. I know that Shea and I will have many years of wedded bliss ahead of us because of you two!

Dear Mom I love hearing you laugh and I love seeing you smile! Make sure you take more time to yourself because you deserve it!

Dear Mom I love you with all my heart and I hope I can be a great mom in the future like you!

love you Mom <3
