Big Blue Wrecking Crew

So yesterday the New York Giants won the NFC Conference Championship which means they are on their way to the Super Bowl!! We are very excited over here since we are big Giants fans!

Six years ago I did not know a punt from a touchdown and now I surprise my boy everyday with my vast knowledge. I attribute that to my great memory of useless knowledge, or my trying to make him think I am paying attention, but whatever it is he always seems impressed. He will be talking about a team and forget the name of their quarterback and I will chime in with the correct answer. I surprise myself sometimes.

See the key to making it look like you know a lot is to not just know the useless knowledge of your team, but to know other teams useless knowledge! And if you have a boy like mine who talks non-stop during the game and all week about it you are sure to start retaining some of it. I can actually have discussions with my own brothers about football and they won't sit there and say, "Hey you are a girl! You don't know anything!" But, they actually don't look as well versed as I am in football, and I can actually put them to shame!

Not that I expect my boy to know everything about my design field, but he can surprise me sometimes when he talks about the color wheel and complementary colors! He's a cutie!

So today my job was to go get the official NFC Champion Giants hats while I was at work. I took this duty upon myself since I was not going to let my pregnant eventual sister-in-law lift a finger! ((She is pregnant with quads! But that's another post!)) So, I being the good girlfriend said I would take this task on and buy the hats for our men. Like really how hard could it be? I work in New York.

Well, after getting off the train I tried Kmart, Duane Reade, and every shop in Penn Station before I quit and decided I shouldn't be that late to my so called "job" so I booked it for the subway and went on goggle when I got to work. I searched for Modells and went there on my lunch break. You would have thought a Giants player was coming in to sign the hats based on the presentation of this small Modells. There was a set up of everything that they could possibly make with the words "NFC Champion" on it. There was hardly any walking space and I was asked by ten different people if I wanted to accessorize the hat with a shirt, keychain, sticker... I JUST WANT THE FREAKIN' HAT!! Finally, at the register and the hat rang up as $27.99. That is one expensive "they win the Super Bowl and the hat will be useless" hat. But, that is what the boys requested.

Still trying to figure out why my boy needs the hat. He has a hat from when they won the Super Bowl four years ago and I have never seen it on his head. It does a great job of collecting dust on his shelf though! Well boys will be boys I guess.

Happy Tuesday if you can find happiness in it!!
